Volunteer

Our Programs

Our leadership, administration, marketing, and horticulture programs are staffed primarily by volunteers.

Please contact us at admin@plantingpossibilities.org for additional information about volunteer opportunities.

Volunteer at Events

We hold garden based fundraisers throughout the year, typically a Spring Geranium Sale, a Fall Mum Sale, and have participated in Community Farmers Markets.

Additionally, fundraisers such as our Annual Golf Outing and Spring Tea Party provide opportunities for marketing, sponsorship/donation solicitations, event planning and many other tasks for volunteers.

Volunteer at our Vocational Garden and Greenhouse

We currently operate a half-acre vocational garden and greenhouse, growing primarily vegetables on the Campagna Acadamy campus.

Led by a staff horticulturalist, we guide young adults through a complete task-oriented growing cycle, from seed germination to planting, weeding, and harvesting.

Leadership and Mentoring

Our Executive Board, Steering Committee, and Communications team is volunteer based.

If you have professional expertise in the legal, financial, project management, real estate, marketing, data management, or graphic design fields – let’s talk!

Campagna Collaboration Project Volunteers

Our Growing Our Community collaboration with Campagna Academy needs community volunteers — gardeners, educators, retirees, people with some spare time — you!

As part of Campagna’s procedures, all on-site volunteers must complete a screening process.

To begin the volunteer screening process, please contact Beth Szamatowicz, Director of Public Relations & Volunteer Services at Campagna Academy at 219.322.8614 or via email at bszamatowicz@cahope.org.

Of course, if you have any questions or just want to talk to someone at Planting Possibilities, please contact us via email at admin@plantingpossibilities.org or phone us directly at 219.237.9353 for additional details regarding volunteer opportunities at Campagna Academy.
